Lokniti | Book Cover Design

The Lokniti Programme for comparative democracy was established in 1997 as a research program of the Center for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), Delhi, India. Lokniti team reached out for their latest report on WOMEN & POLITICS cover design. The design challenge was to embrace women's involvement in voting and Indian politics through graphics.

Design Approach
After a session with the core team of Lokniti we decided to go with the illustration depicting the voting queue of diverse women within India diversity of cultures. We used illustrations as a medium to convey our approach. Where illustrations design elements can reflect the story of the Indian Women merely young or old taking part in the largest democracy.
